Kora is moving forward steadily. This morning we had a minor set back with her oxygen dropping to 50% and heart rate hitting around 160. They weaned her off of high flow oxygen and nitric last night and ended up needing to put her back on nitric this morning when her levels dropped so low. Her heart rate has stabilized around 140 when awake and 130 when asleep so still a bit high but it is normal for irregular heart rate/rhythms with the Fontan circulation. This afternoon has been very good with her! We are weaning off of our pain meds and have weaned off most of the medication she was on intravenously. She has switched over to oral meds for most things already. She also got to stand up and move around a bit today which was a huge win! We are very proud of her progress and how brave she is. We will be in the PCICU until Monday at the earliest as she still has her chest tubes and pacing wires in until then. Her sisters came to visit yesterday but she wasn’t up for much interaction then. Thank you all for your prayers and kind thoughts. She has been such a rockstar with it all!
